Sir, I think that this web series (Dragon Ball Z : Light of Hope) must be good and, in fact should be awesome and a lot
different than that Dragon Ball Evolution which was hypothetical and was only
based on the story 1 or 2 percent….
Other than this topic, I have a Question for you that has been emerging in my
mind since childhood, after ending Dragon Ball Z. After ending watching Dragon
Ball Z, I started watching Dragon Ball GT as I thought that it would be
entertaining and would serve the purpose of watching Dragon Ball Z as a sequel,
but I did not find the latter as good as the first and i found many flaws in
it.. After then, many games were launched with the characters of Dragon Ball GT
in it and therefore it became permanent. In the happenings of Dragon Ball Z and
GT there was a time gap of 10 years and had “Battle of Gods” movie in
between this time. Dragon Ball Z has been a great franchise that is demanded by
its fans to be continued, but how can it be done if the story has been continued
by GT and most plot has been taken up by it. My question, is that Why isnt Toriyama not continuing Dragon Ball and does GT need to be removed in order for Toriyama to continue Goku’s journey?

    • Thanks for your support.

Toriyama did not write Dragon Ball GT’s story so he can choose to ignore it altogether if he wants to. He just wrote a prequel called Dragon Ball Minus that ignores some of the Episode of Bardock content, which he also did not write. The creator of the series has the power to do whatever he wants. If he ever wants to continue Dragon Ball Z and ignore GT, then he can.

Whether or not he actually will is debatable. Toriyama has said himself that he’s not as young as he used to be, and that doing a battle manga like DBZ is too tiring, so it’s likely that it won’t happen. But we can always hope.

You don’t get it do you i think they might be trying to ditch the entire dragon ball storyline in order to create some new anime series with no morals whatsoever and no i don’t hope that Toriyama changes the best anime series that ever existed. DBZ is legendary why change it?

        • I do not understand the conclusions you’re jumping to. I simply tried to answer Dragonballgeek’s question about whether or not GT matters to the original creator.

          • Goten Loves Life and Apples says:

This may sound strange but i believe their really is a gaggle of villains like Master Shen, king Piccolo, and Dr Gero running our planet right now. Nothing else could explain the sheer evil that goes on everyday in our world? The way things are going will Dragonball fans be permitted to make videos like the light of hope in the years to come think about it copyright includes nonprofit derivative works as well?

      • Dragonballgeek says:

Sir, Your help with the answer is very appreciable and I personally also think that Dragon Ball series could be continued and has a mere hope for it although being one of the best series of all time. Toriyama does not pay much attention on Dragon Ball as mentioned by him in his interview in V-jump magazine for Dragon Ball Z : Battle of Gods and there to recover back Dragon Ball we have our fingers crossed. Thank You Sir

After reading Dragon Ball Minus, I realized Mr. Toriyama made that prequel to promote his current project — Jaco: The Galactic Patrol. Mr. Toriyama returned to his humorous narrative storytelling with Dragon Ball Minus. Although I am satisfied with a certain female Saiya-jin’s appearance, I respect the 1990s television film Dragon Ball Z: Goku’s Father — Bardock more.
