Come to think of it…there’s a third solution. Piccolo could fuse with Dende. Dende would still be alive, Piccolo wouldn’t have to kill Shenron (which he can’t do in time for some reason?), and Piccolo would get a free power boost which might let him deal with the Jiaitais. Or at least get worfed by them less badly…

This also popped into my mind, but it’s worse than just killing isn’t it?
