English Cast Announced for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero!
The English voice actors have been announced for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, hitting theaters in the United States on August 19.
The Red Ribbon Army is the villainous organization of the film. They are most well-known for their role in Dragon Ball, but also for returning in Dragon Ball Z via Dr. Gero and his Androids.
While it is a familiar organization, they are represented in Super Hero with new faces.
Magenta is a man who has inherited the will of the Red Ribbon army. He is being voiced by Charles Martinet, who voices Mario and Luigi in the Super Mario video game franchise.
Charles Martinet said on his Twitter: “So many thanks to @dragonballsuper, to everyone at @Crunchyroll, and to the amazing @JustChrisSabat. I am so touched and grateful for the chance to play with you guys!”

Magenta is joined by Dr. Hedo, Gamma 1, and Gamma 2.
Dr. Hedo will be voiced by Zach Aguilar, whose voice may be known to many as Tanjiro’s in Demon Slayer.
Gamma 1 will be voiced by Aleks Le, and Gamma 2 by Zeno Robinson. Demon Slayer fans will be familiar with Le as well, with him voicing Zenitsu.
Carmine is the final new face introduced in the movie. He’ll be voiced by Jason Marnocha.
As for the usual cast of characters, almost everyone has come back to reprise their role. This includes Christopher Sabat as Vegeta and Piccolo, Sean Schemmel as Goku, and Kyle Hebert as Gohan.
The exception to the rule is Broly. Vic Mignogna will no longer be voicing the character, with Johnny Yong Bosch getting the role for this film.
Mignogna lost the role of Broly due to a sexual assault scandal and subsequent lawsuit and outing at FUNimation after the premiere of the previous Dragon Ball film titled Dragon Ball Super: Broly (2018).
Bosch is a familiar presence to shōnen’s most popular series. He voices Sabo in One Piece, Ichigo in Bleach, and Sasori in Naruto.
This change may set people off, with Mignogna having voiced Broly for decades in his Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super appearances up to this point.
Likewise, the voice of Pan, Elise Baughman, has been replaced by Jeannie Tirado.
Time will tell how the fans adapt to the recastings.
How do you feel about these casting choices for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero? Can Charles Martinet play the villain?!
